the malfatti problem. my life in the singularity.

Well, people probably think I’ve fallen off the face, save for the random post or two, weeks apart. I’ve been busy with the real world, that’s true. But I’ve always been fueling my new - or rather, reignited - obsession: New York City! (as noted by the only direct photo links on this main page, and the only link in my blogroll to be capitalized…)

Four interwoven tales from across the globe as each character learns the lessons of miscommunication and pride.  From Morroco, San Diego, Mexico and Japan, families with no noticeable connections all have an impact on eachothers lives, some more tragic than another.

Flags of Our Fathers.  Starring Ryan Phillipe, Jesse Bradford, Adam Beach, Barry Pepper.

The most famous photo of World War II and the six subjects within.  What the country viewed as an image of victory and hope, those six “heroes” viewed as a memory of a weeks-long fight and the friends they lost.  What happened to the men in that photo and the heroes on that island?
